Re: hidden vin numbers

Who cares about the VIN numbers. I'm sure you bought the car 'cause you
liked it. As long as you have a good title just enjoy it. Rich Kinsley '64

Subject: hidden vin numbers

Does any body know where the hidden vin numbers on a 65 Plymouth
Barracuda might be. I think I got ripped off. The guy I bought it from
in Washington state had to set up some sort of abandoned vehicle or
salvage title or some such thing. There is no vin tag on the door
pillar,it has been removed. But he CLAIMS he went to the Washington
Department of Licensing and presented me with this new title that they
did from the hidden VIN numbers. Well I found the hidden VIN under the
radiator core support decal and the one on this new title are nowhere
close. Supposedly sometimes they are on package shelfs too but a 65 Cuda
has no package shelf.Good thing I have two of these cars because this
one might just be getting cut into parts. I am so emberassed.
P.S. Yes I have already considered the radiator core support
could have been changed due to an accident or something but it looks
factory and no signs of swapping to look at. I need another number to
look at and compare to this title.
