I just rebuilt a 383 for 1 of my ‘62 Chrysler’s and have 2 others that both have 413’s. I would recommend the above rear main versus the stock one. They are all a pain but this one is a better design for less leaks. It’s a bit pricey, but a better design overall in the long run.On Tue, Nov 24, 2020 at 7:15 PM dennis.1963ply <dennis....@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:I have the engine, I was told it was taken out of a running car. My intent is to put it in a 3/4 ton pickup that now has a 383. The motor will be freshened up and checked internally. Any recommendations on the engine while it is apart? Not looking for performance upgrades but any suggestions will be appreciated such as what would be a good cam choice.ThanksDennis C.----
