Strut Rod wear and replacement questions

I have the complete suspension and steering out of my 64 Belvedere.  When I started cleaning parts I noticed that both ends of the strut rods are mushroomed from wear.  Being a 64 with unknown mileage this is probably typical wear.  Will this interfere with the alignment if I use the old strut rods?  Due to the difficulty of future replacement if needed I am planning on getting new strut rods.  Any thoughts about the adjustable ones they are selling now?  Worth the extra money for a driver car?
