I suppose Chrysler could have contracted with "Masland Duran" as a supplier. As you say, who knows, as a lot of time and activities have happened since these Mopars were new! I'd suggest contacting Mel Major. Maybe he can help with photos. (He usually goes to Carlisle, so may be busy preparing for that show.) He is the force behind the "Mopar Survivors" displays and a great Mopar guy. He's also a member of this mail list and owns a 1962 Sport Fury.
