Im not sure if they come apart as I said. But realistically why does he need to do this? Thats why I suggested bearing races to be tapped out and new ones put in. Some people dont know they come out. If he needs a new drum dont they come as one piece with the hub in it already. Thats if you can get it new. If they dont and they sell just the drum he should have a machine shop take care of this. Its gotta be pressed on and off evenly. I'm guessing that some early cars had the swaged wheel studs which kept the drums firmly attached and the swaging has to be cut away. Later I'm pretty sure the drums just come off. However, I don't know when that change took place and the other point is that a drum might be very reluctant to come off the hub simply because it's rusted on there. Ultimately I'm sure he'll have to take the hub from the car and work on it all on the bench, but his issue is about getting the drum off the hub. Ray Here is his question:
