| Yes all those H.A.M. B. methods work.
Additionally, if you have a set of Magnesium Wheels they are worth a good amount of $$$. And whatever you do, do not clean or try to polish them. Doing so can diminish the value. Our friends at H.A.M.B. discussed this back in 2002. Read the thread through to the end for three methods to determine whether something is magnesium (vs. aluminum).

I have a set of two what I think are Appliance Wheels (believe they are 15x6 or 7, but forgot to measure today) and are much lighter that steel of aluminum wheels. How can I tell if they are real magnesium wheels? And, if so, are they worth something for Rat-Rods or Restoration?
I will measure them today and can try to send pictures if anyone can ID them for me.
