the best depends on what your plans are, race, street, etc. you can remove , and use a plate to block the pump/block mount, but you may want to run both. The regulator depends on the pump used. Some are regulated internally, at around 5 or 7 lbs, same aren't. If the pump you choose has a running pressure of 11, or 12 lbs, you will need a regulator to keep pressure down at the carb.
