Jim,
What compression ratio are you running in the Fury and are you using
aluminum heads?

I've been busy but in a non-Mopar way so I've been quietly lurking on this
board. Don't know if you remember but I finally got a chance to race the
'64 Fury a few summer's ago after the long, long build - and with TONS
help from fellas in this group. Anyway, during one of the runs a fella in
a beat-up Sebring crossed over the line and came within inches of taking me
out. After the race my wife - who by now has totally fallen in love with
the Fury - asked me to not race it again. Seriously, she said I should get
another car for racing given all the time and expense of the Fury's
restoration. Anyway, her side of the family are a long line or Chevy
people (I was always the Outlaw) and soonafter that discussion I tripped over a
sweetheart deal on a race ready Chevelle. I jumped on it before the time
expired on a woman's memory to go buy another car, and since I've been racing it
here and there. Meanwhile, the Fury is still my pride and joy but is
limited to cruising and car shows, although the car was not really setup for
that life (it requires race fuel and is LOUD!). It is a barrel of fun to
win car show awards occasionally, though!
I hope you guys will still talk to me! I made this placard for the
car...
Best,
