I finally got my front end suspension wrapped up. Wow! what a difference. Before, it handled like a 54 year old car. Now much more of a pleasure to drive. Not having a lift, I took it to a shop I always do business with to have the lower control arm bushings and strut rod bushings installed and the alignment done. Their mechanic fought it from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Apparently it was the strut rods that dealt him a fit. He told the mgr. he was done working on cars that were older than he was! Glad to have it done just in time for the cooler driving season of fall. Also there is a big once a year cruise night coming up on Sept. 8th in Plattsmouth, NE. which is just across the river. Any of the local group going?
Thanks to all of the list members who offered advice, lent tools (Rich & George), and parts (Dodger). Seems to be well worth the effort.
