Later C Bodies had black inner fenders. My 71 Fury is like that and
so was my 70 Sport Fury. Not sure when the C Bodies went to that, but the
entire front end of C Bodies are different from A, B, and E Bodies.
Older Mopars also had satin black inner fenders (as Bill said), as my 57,
58, and 59 Coronets all have black inner fenders. Not sure when Mopar went
to the body-colored inner fenders and engine compartment, but suspect it was
when they went away from frame-mounted cars. Although the C bodies were
unibodys, they had a separate front engine-suspension set-up that was totally
different from the other series.
