Never had an old rig with a fan clutch – my 2008 Duramax has one and you sure hit it when it kicks on a hot day up a grade towing......... Reading the Hayden literature catalog page 338 it says the advantages are MPG and noise reduction when disengaged. So the OP wants better cooling – a fan clutch not really designed for that by itself..... 7-blade fan would certainly help.........

On Behalf Of Akron Don Thanks. That may be just what I'm looking for to work with my RB engined 65 Belvedere. Akron Don Sent from my Verizon Wireless 4G LTE smartphone
Still chasing cooler running temps. Everything tells me my problem is air flow. I'm running a 4 blade fan which I'd like to replace with a 7 blade or a clutch-fan. Before I make a trip to the U-Pull-It yard can anyone tell me what will
fit as far as bolt pattern? I've got a fairly tight space with only 3 1/8" between the face of the water pump pulley and the radiator and 5/8" between the fan and the radiator. I am running a 1" spacer which can be eliminated with the use of a clutch-fan.
This is all on a stock 440 w/ C.I. water pump. -- -- -- -- Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
