Paul,
My '63 ran a stock radiator, 4 blade fan, no shroud, temps would climb to 205-210. Added a stock 2 piece metal shroud and stock 7 bland fan, no clutch, no other changes and temps never went above 195. When stopped at a light a couple of revs would bring the temp down another 5. Don't have a better photo but stock worked. Thermostat was a 180, 50/50 mix anti-freeze, a working heater which adds a little coolant. Don't forget to check your timing. Out here in CT. we have to run 10% ethanol which burns hotter and raises temps.

Subject: Fan / Clutch-fan What will fit
Still chasing cooler running temps. Everything tells me my problem is air flow. I'm running a 4 blade fan which I'd like to replace with a 7 blade or a clutch-fan. Before I make a trip to the U-Pull-It yard can anyone tell me what will fit as far as bolt pattern? I've got a fairly tight space with only 3 1/8" between the face of the water pump pulley and the radiator and 5/8" between the fan and the radiator. I am running a 1" spacer which can be eliminated with the use of a clutch-fan. This is all on a stock 440 w/ C.I. water pump.
Thanks, Paul L.
