Anybody have experience with McLeod. I pulled my 340 to look inside after my timing sprocket disaster, I am thinking while I have it out why not put in that 4 speed setup I have had sitting around for years.I priced out clutch kits and the most affordable ( I checked Mancini, Brewers and Summit) seems to be McLeod. Centerforce was quite a bit higher and did not include TO bearing. Hays was highest.
McLeod has what they call their "street pro" kit with disc, pressure plate, TO and alignment tool for $183.00. More or less a stock replacement unit up to 350 hp.
McLeods next step up is their " SUPER street pro" kit with above components, just tougher and able to take 500 hp. $400.00
Is McLeod a decent product? Or does the lower price reflect something.........
Centerforce has dual disc kits , but they are up in the 850 dollar range, and I assume those are total overkill for what I need.
