The stock 340 intakes were great performers, unless you are going to do the heads and cam an intake change would not make much difference if any.

Back to the original question. He has the stock 340 4 BBL cast iron manifold 
already. Is it worth the money and effort to swap it out, unless doing some 
serous drag racing?
