I can't recall if it was 1962 or 1963 that Chryslers were switched from "total contact brakes" to Bendix, the type used on the 1962 Polara (b-body). http://www.classictruckshop.com/images/Bendix.GIF shows Bendix style. http://youtu.be/LbLIIdgQhjc shows the Total-Contact Brake Service Tips. See if the 1962 has brakes that look lie these. You can tell by looking at the brakes which design it is.
