The Chrysler 383 was used in 1959 and 1960. It was a 413 reduced to a smaller bore.

The "other" 383 was a bored out 361, a (Dodge) engine that remained in production until it was again bored out to 400 in the early 1970's.

So it looks like a Dodge 383 was swapped into that Chrysler at some time.
