As someone else stated, holes on the outside of the lens are for a wagon. Certainly are for the Belvedere wagon and see no reason why this would not be the same for the Coronet wagon.

I bought a pair of NOS tail lights for my 65 Coronet 440 some time ago from Joe Suchy.  I have not yet installed them.  Mine do not look like the pics you posted.  For one thing, there are no holes visible from the outside.  Stamped on mine:

SAE STDB 65 W
