Thank you for the information and your help. I think I can obtain suitable 
clips from Valiant restorers around the country. If not I will try USA. At 
least I now have an idea what I am looking for.

Previous repairer managed to fill the mouldings with bog and then attach the 
strips with self tapping screws into the bog from the inside of the car. I 
thought the strips were glued on with bog somehow, but this is how he did 
it. The screws were rusted or non existent after many yeas.

Thanks Dan. Some of the vendors are listed on 
http://1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/restoration-sources.html as well. Colin 
is "down under" so maybe some vendors are fussy about that. I know Joe Suchy 
ships outside US, for example.

Some photos of the clips are attached. (Or their skeletal remains, as 
appropriate for Halloween holiday in the US. Darn rust!)

Photos 1 and 2 are on the trim piece above the rear quarter. Not shown is a 
threaded stud that goes through inside the trunk area and is secured by a 
nut.
Photos 3 and 4 are of the clips that hold the rocker panel trim on. I think 
they have a plastic extension that locks into a drilled hole.

The photos should provide an idea of what to get. You may not be able to 
find the exact clip. But something that is close enough or works should be 
available.
