RE: Space saver spare fitment

You can do a junkyard excursion and test what I was told, but have not verified. That is, you can use a lightweight aluminum "spacesaver"  5 x 4 1/2" T125/80R16 Ford spare from a 1990's Ford Crown Victoria, which are not too hard to find and are not expensive at Pick-a-Part type junkyards. Supposedly some Jeep Cherokees had similar "spacesaver" spare wheels. If this is true, it gives you a tire to get you to the next tire shop or home if the flat tire threw a belt and fix-a-flat won't work.
