OK got it. Honestly, Gary, I would look for a reasonable axle shop to rework either the older or newer axles to match the swapped-in assembly / old wheels combination. In the long run this would be a fix it once and forget about it approach. Just my opinion.
Has anyone heard of these guys and are they near you? I don't know them but have had good luck getting off-road guys to do work for me as their work typically needs to hold up to some serious abuse.
