I've been using the Proform 66269 High torque starter since 2005 in my Poly stroker, fits perfect with TTI. Price is around $140. at most performance stores, but check your local speed shop.

I'm wondering if there's a "hi-torque" version, vs. a std on, etc.
That would make sense I guess for the one unit being ~$250 vs $85.
