My first car was a 1971 Ford Pinto Runabout.  I was school bus yellow with a black vynal inside, automatic and AC.  I loved that little thing.  But my second car was 1962 Chrysler Newport 4 door Sedan.  I had that car for 9 years and put over 300k on it.  It's still up here in Tacoma I think...but I've not seen it for about 9 years....but I'll see her again I'm sure.  

1971 was the only year for a 1/2 glass rear hatch for the Pinto and it had chrome metal decoration on it , it also held the rear open with two large springs in the back panels and some funky metal hinges to keep it open, I bet more than one person lost a finger in them.  The next year it was full glass windows on the Runabouts and gas struts to hold open the hatch.
