How likely is it that there were three different switches with different numbers that look nearly identical but have different dimensions. In other words did I hack up an original switch because it had been beaten into half-a$$ed fitting where the correct switch would have just dropped into place like it was designed for that space on the column support?
I'm not losing any sleep over that possibility, my car is a driver and I choose function over "correctness". My brake lights now work and don't kill my battery and I'm callin' it DONE.
I did come up with a new year's resolution as a result of several adventures under the dashboard of the AZDart, though. If I need to do more work under there, I'm taking the seat out so I can lie on the floor pan instead of being a contortionist and collecting a bunch of scrapes, bruises and sore muscles.
