For me it is peace of mind with all new parts, no different than replacing all the suspension parts in last few weeks - they were still doing the job too, although in a worn/aged diminished state of repair. That said, the 52 year old B&T with 89,000 miles on it was still doing the job less the cracked rubber boot slinging grease, the new driveshaft feels no different. I am sure it would of seen me thru my lifetime, had I just replaced the boot. Especially since the Dart will probably only see the 1,000 or so miles a year, that it saw last year. Anyone need a good B&T in the Seattle area?
