4-door to 2-door conversion question

I know a few of you have done the 4- to 2-door conversion.  I'm thinking about doing it on my new '65 Dart wagon, but I've got a few questions...

I have a '65 Dart GT I can use as a donor.

The early A wagons were all Valiants, the Dodges just has dart front-ends bolted on.  Since the Valiants had a shorter wheelbase, would I need to use a Valiant or Barracuda as a donor?  I did a bit of measuring, and the distance from the front edge of the GT's door to the rearmost part of the window opening is just about the same as from the wagon's door edge to the back edge of the back door.  Maybe the extra distance is in the C-pillar on the GT?

The GT's transition from the C-pillar to the roof is a lot more rounded than on the wagon.  I wonder what can be done to fit the GT's trim piece that comes up behind the side windows and goes over the roof?
