I like that idea, maybe trying blowing the other way first?

How about hooking an air hold fitting up to the plug with some air pressure, turn the engine to open the intake,  remove the carb and hook a shop vac to the intake runner for that cyl???   That should flush the cyl.  You can check the vac tank to see what came out.
