Thanks everyone for the good suggestions.

I am going to pull the transmission and engine for a clean-up of both of them.  The engine needs gaskets, seals and freeze plugs.

I just wanted input on leak sources that a transmission builder might overlook.  Not many guys around have rebuilt push button transmissions but they have rebuilt countless 727 non push button transmissions.

As to the actual leaks, I just looked under the car and it has dripped from the bell housing area and the rear of the pan.  However I have not put it back on stands to see where it is really coming from,

The transmission leaks, not just a little but REALLY leaks. I have read posts in the past but didn't save them on what can be done with these to reduce or stop the leaking.

I am aware that the torque converter will leak back, increase the level in the transmission and can make matters worse. I also found reference to a pin that can leak that is for the low-reverse servo if I recall correctly. Apparently there is also seal between the torque converter and pump that is important to change.

I am looking for any suggestions before I order parts and have it rebuilt although it seems to shift just fine if it is out it would be a great time to freshen it up. It would be a good time to put in a streetable shift kit – any recommendations?

I totally gave up driving the car several years ago due to the leaks. It would be great to get the transmission done and start getting it out again.
