Gary did a good job on the ID, I will add a few comments,, this same
casting was used from 62-65 for 413 and bored to the 426 as well,,,,, It was not
the casting used for the max wedges,,,,,413 and 426 pistons are almost double
the 440 pistons, and you will find it argue able as to if it can be bored to
take the cheaper 440 pistons, as for he HP stamp, that is all it is, the
internals and block itself are the same as other blocks without the stamp,
and the extra value of the block is the stamp,,,,,, it will or did have the
forged crank in it which most 440 builders are looking
for,,,
