The technique I most expected to fail worked like a charm. That is a breaker bar lodged against the K member and a hit of the starter. No room for the impact wrench. Hitting the breaker with a hammer didn't work. Home made tool bolted to the damper just broke (i only had a piece of aluminum angle). Thanks all for your suggestions.
