Re: How can I keep the engine from turning while removing crank bolt?

Yes this is the same project. I am going to replace the chain. I have the tools for everything including a good hub puller. I'm not sure my compressor has enough oomph for my impact wrench but I'll give it a try
Thanks again

David,,,, am guessing you are repairing the leak that you had previously asked about, how many miles are on engine, what I am questioning is if timing chain should be replace while your looking at it,,,, at this point it will only be the cost of new chain, you will already be torn down to that part,,,,,,,when  you get crank bolt out, you will probably need a puller to remove HB,,, years ago I removed several and re installed with pry bars and hammers , but do not recommend it, more than likely your local auto parts store will have a puller you can borrow,,,,,,
