I agree with you Doug. The 350 sbc has been way over done
and the lack of imagination kills me too. Got a friend who is redoing a
Chevelle and instead of redoing the original numbers matching 327 .......he is
putting in a 350. Oh well, its still a chevy so not much hope there anyway.
Now here's a real street rod....hehehe

Whats
wrong with the 400? There's hundreds of 440's under the hoods of 62-65
Mopars and that's always been perfectly acceptable, and even bragged about,
not to mention Hemi's in pre 64's. I don't mind a late generation hemi
or magnum in an old Mopar either, heck we've been doing that sort of thing for
years. My personal dislikes are the giant diameter wheels and rubber
band tires, and street rods with the "wrong" company's engine. An sbc in
every old car shows no imagination, and just plain laziness in my
opinion. If I win the lotto, I'm going to put a late model hemi in a 57
chebby,, just to piss the chebby guys off,, LOL. But then, what ever
floats yer boat !! Doug, '63 Sport Fury 'vert

Yep you could tell them it was a 383 and no one would know except when
they looked under hood
