Re: vapor lock

I don't know if this will help, but it can't hurt to try.  I was looking up stuff for our 2006 Jeep and ran across a vapor lock problem and solution.  They had a bad gas cap and was causing a vacuum in the fuel system (I'm surprised it didn't collapse the tank) but that lowered the boiling point of the fuel enough to cause vapor lock in the low 70's weather.  You could try it if you have a less than 1/2 a tank, take off your fuel cap, no fast starts as fuel will dump out, but it can't hurt to see.  Oh yeah, the cap can be good and the vent for the fuel tank could also be plugged up too causing a vacuum condition in the tank.
