RE: Running a bit hot,,,Question!

That’s what I’ve been using for overflow tanks on my older Mopars.  70’s A body or 66 B body uses a washer bottle that has a nipple on the bottom to attach a hose (not the kind that have the electric pump mounted right on the bottle). Both styles are reproduced and make great overflow bottles and are even marked with Mopar logos.

Well, keeping period correct will be difficult because it was after 65 they went to an overflow jug, I think around 1969.  Now re-purposing a washer bottle or bag for an overflow is a possibility!  Most wont catch it I bet, just have the hose run low along the frame then up to the bottle.  Just a thought.

Bill,

When did they start adding the overflow tank?  Is there a good source

for these?  I have a 63 Polara 500 and it probably be good for me to

add since I drive it a lot.  I'd like to look as close to period

correct as possible, but it's not a show car and good performance is

more important to me.
