Re: Deep wounds for LeRoar

AAWWWW-MAANNNN, That just plain sucks! All the planning, money and
work. It is the beginning of the season, maybe you will still hit
the strip. Can your block be bored and new pistons? Maybe now you
can get the compression ratio where you want it and use composite head
gaskets. Might have to eat hanburger helper and Romain noodles for a
while ! Best wishes.......................MO......... BTW thanks for
the generous donation to a great cause.......

The piston skirt scratches are too invasive and especially since they are on the cylinder walls too they indicate a lack of piston wall oiling. I don't have enough oil capacity to survive my high rpm runs. I intend to get a couple other opinions and decide what to do afterwards. I didn't think the pistons were a problem. See, I'm not a real genius after all :-)

Anyway I will have to see how my resources come together and figure what direction I will go from here. I always planned to build a cruiser next. If it's too expensive to continue in the race mode then maybe this is my time to change. I hate to do that though since I am so close to really being where I was hoping to be.
