If it needs to be period correct, it all adds up quick on an MW.  I'd
guess off the top of my head the following parts prices.

Cross RAM intake - $1,500
Upswept exhaust manifolds - $1,500
Correct AFB carbs - $1,200
MW Heads - $2,000
Block - $1,500
Crank - $1,000
Air Cleaners - $500

Then linkage, oil pan, pistons, cam, etc.

It ain't no Chebby 350, that's for sure.
