My favorite is chrome cleaner (although I can't seem to find the good red stuff anymore, only the white) and brass or bronze wool. Brass wool wont scratch the chrome like steel wool. You can usually get it at a place that sells marine supplies, it's used a lot on boats. I'd guess it would work on stainless too? I think I'll give it a test on my stainless Bronco tail pipes. - Jim Jim Altemose, Long Island, NY '63 Polara 500 (Max Wedge) '63 Polara 500 (383) '65 Belvedere I (Street Wedge) '71 Bronco On Fri, Mar 16, 2012 at 12:14 PM, Afterhours Fabrication <afterhoursfab@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Coca Cola and tin foil works, Mythbusters tried it once :) > > Im a Pepsi guy myself so Ive used chrome polish and it takes off the > light rust pretty easily. > > - Dave > > On Fri, Mar 16, 2012 at 7:23 AM, Enzo Cremasco <csmopars@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote: >> I agree with Ruth but also add a shot of WD40 as well >> while cleaning >> >> From: Ruth Gordon <kpmvn4wrd@xxxxxxxxx> >> To: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx >> Sent: Friday, March 16, 2012 2:44:49 AM >> Subject: Re: Chrome rust >> >> 0000 steel wool.
