Hey Gary, that scarebird kit is misleading. I emailed them a couple weeks ago, and from what I understood their kit did not come with the rotors, callipers, hoses, etc, which is pictured on their ebay ad. If you read carefully it states right below a picture of the fully assembled product, "Listing is for brackets, bearing adapters, banjo bolts and install info only." If they want $165 for that, they better give their heads a shake. That's a copied line from their ad. > From: 62to65mopar@xxxxxxxxxxx > To: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: RE: Disc brake conversion > Date: Mon, 5 Mar 2012 04:49:28 +0000 > > From the Ehrenberg article, the section on C-Body cars, that's linked from the 62-65 Tech page: "...for good, lowbuck brakes, with ready parts availability, you need to find a junked...1973 (or late '72) disc-equipped C-cruiser, and take everything (incl. rotors, calipers, knuckles, hoses, adapters, etc.) You won’t need the control arms, since they are identical from 1965 thru ‘73. For cars now equipped with 4-piston brakes, you will, however, need to swap the lower ball joints; but this is a blessing in disguise: The needed ball joints are way more common (read: cheaper!) Another option for C-bodies is the Scarebird kit...." > > http://www.scarebird.com/index.php?id=32 is the Scarebird kit he refers to; it calls for using 1970-72 Ford Galaxie rotors and 1994-99 Dodge Ram 1500 calipers. > > As for future parts availability, who knows!
