Re: Front speaker

Interesting that this comes up now. I just spent the evening
installing my original radio which I had converted. It's got pre-outs
for an amp (I don't have one yet) plus an input for Ipod etc., and AM/
FM. I had mine converted by Dooner Funderburk who used to be on this
BB. My 63 only has one central 6x9 opening in the rear pkg. tray with
two 4" openings to the side. Not wanting to start cutting into the
original metal work I installed two 6" speakers under the 4" holes. I
had also put speakers into the front door panels a few years ago when
I made new ones. I hooked up everything temporarily before installing
the radio just to make sure everything worked, it sounded good so I
installed the radio in the dash. Now just need to wire everything
permanently, re-install my steering wheel which I also had off and it
should be ready for cruise season.
