1962-1965 Rear Brake Drum

• Rear Brake drums, http://www.amazon.com/Raybestos-2953R-Professional-Grade-Brake/dp/B000IYJI4M    Do you need new 11 by 2 1/2 inch rear brake drums for your 1962 to 1965 Mopar? Check out Raybestos® part number 2953 (or another brand drum that crosses to that part number, like Wagner BD60187).  On pre-1965 tapered axle drums use the axle part that is in your existing brake drum (the hub) and install it in the replacement drum.

This info is on the 1962to1965 mopars website, I just don't remember where so I put it here for those messing with their cars now. 

You will have to have a machine shop remove the Hubs from your old drums and drill holes for them in the new brake drums and install the old hubs in the new brake drums.  Since we have been talking a lot about the brakes on the Newports and the 880's the people doing those brake jobs might need this info. 

OR you can get a newer rear axle (like a 1966-1972 I think) with nice easy to remove and replace rear drums and shoes.  Did I say before I hate my Newports brakes?  Well I do.  :)
