A few years back I converted a 66 Belvedere to non power disc brakes and did a lot of research into this. What was recommended was a 1" bore MC that seemed to be hard to come by. I used a non power Volare MC from NAPA with a 1 1/32" bore and it worked out great. You'll find that the bores vary from about 15/16" to 1 1/8" and the larger the bore the less travel your brake pedal will have but the more leg pressure it will require to stop the car. The larger bores like the 1 1/8" are usually found in power brake applications.
