What woul be considered best? Bb cc or just single stage? I'm guessing single stage would make it look more "original"? Also if u had imperfections they prolly wouldn't be as prominent.

With base coat/clear coat the base color is dull like primer and the clear makes it shine. You look down thru the clear to see the color. With a single stage the shine is in the paint and you don’t have the depth look.

Pardon me not knowing by looking.  BUT....I know what Base coat and Clear coat looks like...My 1999 Ford Windstar is that.  I know what my Chrysler looks like with it's shinny but 50 year old paint on it, no clear.  But if I had two newly painted cars, side by side, I would not know how to tell them apart......What's the difference?
