Mike, The early Poly from 1956-62 will use the “dish-style” 1 5/8” brass freezeplug #565-023 Dorman and the later ‘62-66 Poly 318 will use the “cup style”1 5/8” brass freeze plug #565-068 shallow cup or #565-030 deep cup Dorman freeze plug.Notice that 1962 is a split year where the casting date will determine dishor cup style freeze plug.
