Fuel Injection

If Electronic Ignition is such a good upgrade, why not the one of those Holley Pro-Jection 2 Bbl? It sounds like a very good idea for reliability, fuel econo, and smooth running. I can't seem to find one for less than $1000+. Kind of pricey, but I like the idea of it.
I got to drive my car a few days ago, and I had forgot why I love driving the car so much. Even tho it's 50 years old, it rides smother, quieter and nicer overall than either of my new cars. I know that I can make the carb behave correctly, tune her up, just like she is supposed to be, but I like the idea of less tinkering and better running. I have always wanted to convert a carb car to fuel injection. I also think that this sort of upgrade would stop the modern fuel problems that plague our cars. Modern set up, modern fuel. Sounds good to me.
Anybody know were I can pick one up for a cheap price? $1000+ is not something I'd like to spend at this time.
