losen the fitting on the carb and see if gas come out when your cranking
the car,,,,,,,,, if there was gas present more than likely the parts between the
tank and carb are working, usually a crack or hole in line will result in no
gas, only air,,,,,,,,

I didn't test it... It was only 40 bucks... Plus it was dirty and who
knows how old... I want to update everything on the car....
Hmmmm
any other ideas as to what is wrong with this thing?
