Men of Mopar,,Question!

Just recently i installed a 1971 440 with a 750 D/P Holley in my Coronet, the car was originally a 318 Poly car.

I would love to get the "Throttle cable and the over drive linkage" set up to work the right way,but the throttle cable that i presently have, seems to be two inches too short.

 

I know that a number of you gents on this site have gone thru this change over. My question is,,what would be the best way to accomplish this important task.
