Re: Stalling

From an old guy. Set both screws at 2 1/2 turns, set idle at normal for car. Run until warm so chock is off. Turn left screw in until engine slows, remember if it was half turn quarter turn what ever, now turn back the other way till engine slows and remember how far that was. If the total movement on this last turn was 1full turn then move it back 1/2turn. What ever the number of turns is between the two engine rpm then set at half of that. You may have to reset the idle.  Also make sure the timing is set. Dave O

Hey Tom, it's a BBD carb. I notice there's just an idle rpm, and two mixtures.

I wish my grandfather was still alive, he could set timming, adjust the carb all by ear and get it perfect.  He showed me dozens of times how to do it and I never could get it right.  All the tips you guy say, I heard him say it all.  I have to take it to a local carb shop for them to fine tune it, when I mess with them.
