sorry for all the mail, im just trying to get all the info i can on a lot of different subjects...i guess a lot of my mail could be directed to one person or a couple people that are helping me. theres no one around here that i can talk to/get advice from, i know i send a lot but i just have a lot of extra time to go through things and work on my car. i have no where near the years and expertise some of you have. i wanna be able to troubleshoot and do things on my own but before that i gotta hear things from guys like yall. That last email was supposed to be for an individual cause we were discussing things i forgot to changed to "to:".

I have friends to socialize with, kindve a rude thing to say anyways, but unfortunately my friends dont find mopars or old cars in general alluring or anything. closest mopar clubs are 3 hours away. ill watch my posts from now on. like gary said just delete it if you dont wanna read it. at least im getting people talking...im sure someone enjoys helping others.

Yes, sorting out problems with our Mopars is something we all can relate to.

Part of this is a generation thing. Younger folks use texting more than older folks. "On average, texting teens (12-17) send and receive 1500 text messages a month" per a 2010 report by the Pew Internet and American Life Project.

And part is a technology thing. The Mail List model of communicating over the Internet was created long before iPhones and instant messaging and similar technologies.

I don't know of a simple answer to merge the two. The Mail List Guidelines are all I  can think of, specifically to remember to keep Mopar content in the mail and to conduct personal discussion direct: "Ask yourself: Does everyone need to read this, or should I just send this to ONE person specifically? E-mailing the list asking if anyone knows how to replate pot metal would be just fine. E-mailing the list to ask one individual if they will be going to Thursday’s local cruise night is bad. (You get the idea.)"  http://www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.org/mletiq.html

Lastly, everyone has a "delete" key on their computer's keyboard. It is quick and easy to select a topic you are not interested in reading and press that key.

I guess I'd rather have too much 62-65 mail than little to none; that is my predisposition in general. Heh heh.

Thanks,
Gary H.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic.  Thanks!
