Can you see my frustration here? Yes, I *WAS* looking for a 4-bbl intake for the poly. I have had no luck at this point, as I explained. Which is why I am not looking at my options. And you have confused me with someone else, as not once did I question being told that the truck heads should be replaced for performance reasons. As for knowing my goal, what does that matter? It's my car, and if I do something stupid, well, it's my pocketbook, right? Although the chances of doing something stupid would be greatly reduced by having straight-up answers in the first place. While opinions and experiences are always a great source of information, I always like to have the "technical" information first and separate. Then follow up with the rest. May seem silly to some, but it works. Jumping back to the comment about tow vehicle, that gets me thinking more about making the 413 work, then. I have a line on a nicely restored early 60's camping trailer. Beautiful unit, but you can tell at a glance that the thing has to be damned heavy. So maybe going with the 413 and then picking up that trailer might wind up being my goal. See, my goal on this car has changed as time goes by. This was a rusted out hulk running on 5 cylinders and leaking 2 quarts of trans fluid a week. It was supposed to have been just one step up from a rat rod, not much nicer than my '65 Coronet. But things changed. And that's just how I like it. I'm not building a car for Concours judging, drag racing, or what have you. I'm building it for driving and enjoying.
