More week-end fun

Regarding the fun I had last week...Yes! I finally got the generator running! It was the emergency shut off solenoid in the carb.

But I had even more fun. In a somewhat related topic because I was on a Dodge parts run, the Bronco went dead in the water on the way back from town (perhaps I should have made the run with a more trust worthy old Dodge). I tried troubleshooting but hard to do on the side of the road with cars whizzing by closely. So I caught a ride home and went back with my pickup and car trailer to load the Bronco and haul her home. Always fun to do in the hot sun. I ran out of time before I figured out what is wrong, but there is no spark, likely the distributor and/or coil have failed. No surprise I guess, it is 21 years old.

And once again, that is how backyard car hobby enthusiasts enjoy our week-ends....and holidays

So what if I have cars in my yard

1966 Dodge Coronet 500
1964 Dodge Polara 2-dr HT
1954 Ford F-100 (Grandpa's Truck)
1990 Ford Bronco 5.8L
plus a few other wrecks and lawn ornaments
