The 413 is the same basic motor as the 426W and the 440 so it should have ample power with a rebuild and I dont think transmissions would be a problem either. Anyway, Im sure someone on here can fill you in better than I can. I've done the truck-to-car and car-to-truck engine changes on a handful of vehicles, but never had a 413. So yeah, feasibility is obviously a question. As well as any number of other factors, such as availability of transmissions, reliability/power of this 413, etc. Which is why it was posted to the group. hoping that someone answers your question (an my open-ended one as well)..... The more input I can get, the better I'll be able to decide which way I should go. -----Original Message----- Arent there some differences between the truck 413 and the car 413 or am I just dreaming? I was thinking the truck 413 used an 8 bolt crank and some other differences making impossible to use some external car 413 parts on it. I know someone on here knows one way or the other. Somebody please tell me Im not dreaming. -- -- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
